The 7 Sisters Gateway refers to the main entry points to Northeast India through Guwahati (Assam) and Shillong (Meghalaya). Guwahati is called the Gateway of the Northeast because it has the main airport, railway station, and road connections. Shillong, known as the Scotland of the East, connects travelers to Meghalaya and nearby Seven Sister states. Together, Shillong and Guwahati serve as important cultural, travel, and tourism hubs for exploring the Seven Sisters of India.
